    Overview

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property leasing processes and ensuring a positive experience for prospective tenants. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of leasing regulations, and the ability to effectively manage customer relationships.


    Duties


    • Conduct property tours for potential tenants, showcasing available units and amenities.
    • Manage the leasing process from application to move-in, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of tenant applications, leases, and renewals using property management software such as OneSite.
    • Handle inquiries from prospective tenants and provide exceptional customer service throughout the leasing process.
    • Assist in resolving conflicts and addressing tenant concerns in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet tenant expectations.
    • Perform data entry tasks related to tenant information and lease agreements, ensuring all files are organized and up-to-date.
    • Stay informed about Section 8 housing regulations and assist eligible applicants in navigating the leasing process.

    Skills


    • Proficiency in OneSite or similar property management software is preferred.
    • Strong customer relationship management skills to foster positive interactions with tenants.
    • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations to ensure compliance in all leasing activities.
    • Excellent conflict management abilities to effectively address tenant issues.
    • Sales skills to promote available properties and close lease agreements successfully.
    • Familiarity with facilities management practices to coordinate maintenance requests efficiently.
    • Legal administrative skills for handling lease documentation accurately.

    • Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues promptly
    • Handle HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs
    • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities
    • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations
    • Assist with building security measures

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in English for effective communication
    • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment
    • Familiarity with Facilities Maintenance practices
